This simple but eye-catching necklace features a pendant with a gorgeous faceted green kyanite stone which is bezel set with a cast mimosa bud below it. Somehow, this piece looks like royalty to me. I planted a mimosa tree in my backyard because I was awed by its beautiful pink flower clusters. These trees are also called Persian silk trees for their thread-like petals. Once the tree started to bloom, I discovered that even its buds have unusual, striking textures that make them great fun for jewelry. Maybe it's Persian Royalty...?
