As someone endlessly inspired by natural shapes and textures, I’ve been spending more and more time exploring the rocky beaches of the Pacific Northwest. The creatures and plants of the sea have striking, otherworldly textures, from the bumpy symmetry of sea urchin tests to the almost wistful curves of seaweed. The pieces below were inspired by the unexpected leavings of the tide.
